Château Montfollet
Château Montfollet is located in the heart of the best terroirs of the Blaye appellation, in the Bordeaux region. This family estate of forty hectares of vines is located on the clay-gravel and clay-limestone slopes overlooking the Gironde estuary. Château Montfollet has been in the Raimond family for three generations.

Today, Dominique Raimond, a passionate winegrower, strives to bring out the full potential of these magnificent terroirs, while respecting the environment. He uses all the technical means at his disposal to make Château Montfollet a great wine. The different stages of viticultural work meet multiple requirements: reducing vine vigor while ensuring its longevity, favoring grape ripening, respecting the surrounding flora and fauna, cultivating the soil under the row and naturally planting grass between the rows. Severe pruning, leaf thinning and thinning out ensure excellent ripening of the bunches. Finally, disease and pest control is carefully managed to preserve the environment and the Château Montfollet vineyard.

As the harvest approaches, daily monitoring determines the optimum harvest date, plot by plot. At Château Montfollet, vinification is monitored by the cellar master, a Bordeaux-qualified oenologist, assisted by Christian Veyry, a well-known consultant oenologist in the Bordeaux region.
