Château Belle-Garde
Château Belle-Garde is owned by the Duffau family, who have been winemakers in Bordeaux since 1850 and also own Château les Arromans de Garde. Both estates consistently produce high-quality Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, and dry Bordeaux wines at unbeatable prices.
The estate’s approximately 46 hectares are situated on various soil types (clay-limestone, clay-gravel, and sandy-gravel) spread across the communes of Genissac, Moulon, St. Sulpice de Faleyrens, Nérigean, and Grézillac in the Entre-deux-Mers region. Most of Château Belle-Garde’s vineyards are situated on the hillsides facing Saint-Emilion and thus benefit from a south-facing exposure that ensures ample sunlight.
The grape varieties consist of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon for the estate’s red and rosé wines. Château Belle -Garde’s white wines are made from Sauvignon and Sémillon.
