Château Belle-Garde
Château Belle-Garde is owned by the Duffau family, who have been winemakers in Bordeaux since 1850 and also own Château les Arromans de Garde. Both estates consistently and meticulously produce Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, and dry Bordeaux wines of excellent quality at unbeatable prices.
The estate’s approximately 46 hectares are situated on various soil types (clay-limestone, clay-gravel, and sandy-gravel) spread across the communes of Genissac, Moulon, St. Sulpice de Faleyrens, Nérigean, and Grézillac in the Entre-deux-Mers region. Most of Château Belle-Garde’s terroir is situated on the hillsides opposite Saint-Emilion and thus benefits from a south-facing exposure that promotes ample sunshine.
The grape varieties consist of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon for the estate’s red and rosé wines. Château Belle-Garde ’s white wines are made from Sauvignon and Sémillon.
