Château Belle-Garde
Château Belle-Garde is owned by the Duffau family, Bordeaux winegrowers since 1850, who also own Château les Arromans de Garde. Both estates consistently and conscientiously produce Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, and dry Bordeaux wines of excellent quality at unprecedented prices.
The estate's 46 hectares are located on different types of soil (clay-limestone, clay-gravel and sand-gravel) spread across the communes of Genissac, Moulon, St Sulpice de Faleyrens, Nérigean and Grézillac in the Entre-deux Mers region. Most of the Château Belle-Garde terroir is located on the hillsides opposite Saint-Emilion and thus benefits from a south-facing exposure that promotes good sun exposure.
The grape varieties consist of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon for the estate's red and rosé wines. Château Belle-Garde 's white wines are made from Sauvignon and Sémillon.
