About the estate:
In 1290, the Fontenille estate in the Entre-deux-Mers region already had vineyards. Then part of the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure, this estate—with its clay-siliceous terroir—became independent in the 17th century. Since 1998, it has been managed by Stéphane Defraine, who oversees 56 hectares of vineyards—20 planted with white grape varieties and 36 with red—currently in the process of converting to organic farming.

About the wine:
Covering an area of 3 hectares, the vineyard has an average vine age of 21 years. The terroir is sandy and silty-gravelly. Fresh and fruity, the bouquet reveals chalky notes as well as aromas of red berries followed by hints of eucalyptus. Delightful and refreshing on the palate, the wine is juicy, lively, and mouthwatering. A crisp, inviting, and thirst-quenching Bordeaux! Drink now through 2028
