"New: a friendly wine with crisp fruit flavors!"

Deep, dense color, smooth and easy to drink, with aromas of raspberries and coconut. This wine is a real treat with cold cuts, good bread, and friends. Attractive price for a highly drinkable wine. Good Glou Glou just the way we like it!

Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

In 1290, the Fontenille site in Entre-deux-Mers already had vineyards. Then attached to the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure, this estate with its clay-siliceous terroir became independent in the 17th century. Since 1998, it has been run by Stéphane Defraine, who manages 56 hectares of vines, including 20 hectares of white and 36 hectares of red, currently undergoing conversion to organic farming.

Wine rating (2022 guide) 89/100 (2021 vintage)

About wine:

Covering an area of 3 hectares, the vines have an average age of 21 years. Sandy and silty-gravelly terroir. Fresh and fruity, the bouquet reveals chalky notes and aromas of red fruit followed by hints of eucalyptus. Delicious and refreshing on the palate, the wine is juicy, lively, and mouthwatering. A crisp, inviting and thirst-quenching Bordeaux! Now – 2028
