Native to the Médoc, where it is found in many classified growths, Petit Verdot was once considered a variety unique to the Médoc. It is a variety that is little known on its own but nonetheless of very high quality, contributing body and color when blended into wines meant for aging. When stand-alone, Petit Verdot displays notable varietal aromas such as raspberry, violet, and licorice. A wine with generous body and a distinctive character.
