Review and opinion by Mr. ERIC G. Published on 08/19/2014

I disagree with Henri G., who only gives it 3/5. At less than €5 a bottle, this Bordeaux Supérieur is a bargain. Straightforward and honest like a mischievous Calvinist, it is more like a granite stele than a sphere, dense and tight, with aromas of labiate plants and blackcurrant buds, followed by notes of cinnamon, blackberry, pepper (surprising for a Merlot) and fur on the palate. Surprising: round tannins for such a young and structured wine. Drink within two years to enjoy its full fruitiness.
