Château Mont Pérat 2013

Château Mont Pérat 2013

2*Étoiles

Hachette

"A finalist in the 'coups de coeur' category, this 2013 immediately seduces with its intense and delicious bouquet of exotic fruits, citrus, ripe apple, and pastry. A fresh and supple attack introduces an equally expressive, full-bodied, round, and very long palate, well supported by fine and measured oak. An elegant, complete, and complex Bordeaux. Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2016 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

The Despagne family owns five properties and 300 hectares of vineyards planted with traditional Bordeaux grape varieties. The Despagnes' dedication, inventiveness, and expertise mean that all their wines, particularly those from their flagship properties, Tour de Mirambeau and Rauzan Despagne, could serve as a model for many Bordeaux wines: always flattering but never straying far from classic Bordeaux style.

About wine:

A finalist in the "coups de cœur" competition, this 2013 vintage immediately captivates with its intense, luscious bouquet of exotic fruits, citrus, ripe apple, and pastry. A fresh, supple attack introduces an equally expressive, full-bodied, round, and very long palate, well supported by subtle, measured oak. An elegant, complete, and complex Bordeaux.

About the estate:

A former market town redesigned in the 19th century, commanding a vast 100-hectare vineyard acquired in 1998 by the Despagne family (Rauzan Despagne, Bel Air Perponcher, Tour de Mirambeau, Lion Beaulieu). A consistently high-quality wine that has been highly regarded in China ever since it was compared to a Freddie Mercury concert in the famous manga series Les Gouttes de Dieu.
