Château Penin
Château Penin has been a family estate in the Bordeaux region since 1854, when it was acquired by Louis Carteyron and his son Jacques. For many years, Château Penin's production was divided between fruit and wine.

Patrick Carteyron, representing the fifth generation, took over Château Penin in 1982 after working as an oenologist for several years. At that time, fruit production disappeared completely in favor of vines, with a resolutely qualitative objective. In parallel with the development of Château Penin's vineyard, new cellars were built.

Château Penin 's vineyards are located on highly localized gravelly soils, between the limestone plateau and the palus zone, on the left bank of the Dordogne, opposite Saint-Emilion. Today, Château Penin manages 40 hectares of vines in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, with an annual production of 270,000 bottles.
