Château Penin
Château Penin has been a family-run business in the Bordeaux region since 1854, when it was acquired by Louis Carteyron and his son Jacques. For many years, Château Penin's production was divided between fruit and wine.

Patrick Carteyron, representing the fifth generation, took over Château Penin in 1982 after working as an oenologist for several years. Fruit production then completely disappeared in favor of vines, with a resolutely qualitative objective. Alongside the development of Château Penin's vines, new cellars were built.

The Château Penin vineyard is located on very localized gravelly soils, between the limestone plateau and the marshland, on the left bank of the Dordogne, opposite Saint-Emilion. Today, Château Penin cultivates 40 hectares of vines in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation, producing 270,000 bottles annually.
