"A new vintage in the style of a Graves wine, with an authentic and mouthwatering profile!"

“This barrel-aged wine, with its toasty, spicy, and white-fruit aromas, is rich and full-bodied. It also stands out for its elegance, with flavors of apple and pear, enhanced by lovely acidity. ” (Wine Enthusiast 2026) — A white wine with charisma, authenticity, and originality… in short, the very image of Stéphane Defraine. We should also highlight the wine’s precision… That’s Macha, Stéphane’s daughter!

About the wine:

A blend of equal parts Sauvignon Gris and Sauvignon Blanc, aged in oak barrels, this wine combines citrus notes and subtle minerality on the nose. These aromas are carried through to a balanced and lingering palate that is at once delicate, round, fresh, and subtly oaky. It would pair beautifully with sea bass in a salt crust. 2025–2030 (formerly known as the “Les Survivantes” cuvée)

About the estate:

In 1290, the Fontenille estate in the Entre-deux-Mers region already had vineyards. Then part of the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure, this estate—with its clay-siliceous terroir—became independent in the 17th century. Since 1998, it has been managed by Stéphane Defraine, who oversees 56 hectares of vineyards—20 planted with white grape varieties and 36 with red—currently in the process of converting to organic farming.
