Entre-deux-Mers

The Entre-Deux-Mers AOC covers the entire wine-growing area of Gironde between the Dordogne and Garonne rivers, hence its name. The soils are predominantly clay-limestone. In this region of fragmented vineyards, there are many winegrowers and the average size of the vineyards is small. This allows producers to pamper their vines. They often belong to cooperatives that take care of the winemaking process.

Sauvignon is the king of grape varieties in Entre-deux-Mers. It often undergoes a specific process during vinification known as skin maceration. This produces very fragrant, lively wines that are well-balanced and endowed with a beautiful aromatic power, without being overly nervous. Sauvignon is mainly blended with Sémillon, which adds roundness and power. Muscadelle is a supplementary grape variety in the blend, bringing very pleasant wild and musky notes.

Entre-deux-Mers wines are exclusively white. Their aromatic palette plays with notes of citrus, yellow flowers, and exotic fruits. On the palate, they are supple, lively, and refreshingly crisp.
