“Our signature wine, ready to drink”
“One of the estate’s flagship wines, voted Favorite the previous vintage (to mention only the most recent). Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon contribute equally to this golden-gray wine, whose complex profile combines ripe fruit with the toasty and spicy notes of well-integrated oak. Rich, succulent, and persistent—"spherical"—the palate displays real power, crowned by a harmonious and long finish." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2018) A must-try!

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated 15/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2023 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the wine:
A precise and intense nose, powerfully fruity, with notes of pine and flint; full-bodied, dense, and lively on the palate, with very persistent aromas and a lovely freshness on the finish.
About the estate:
Long considered one of the appellation’s flagship estates, this vast property in the southern Graves region belongs to the Levêque family, who are also renowned wine merchants in the Bordeaux region. It is now managed by Hubert de Boüard (Château Angélus), who produces highly characteristic wines—both red and white—that are destined for great success. Both the red and white wines are highly expressive, delicately aromatic, rather refined, and well-balanced. The Caroline cuvée, the estate’s flagship wine with a well-established reputation, is rich yet never lacking in elegance.

Guide Hachette des vins
Wine noted (guide 2018) 2* Favorite (Remarkable wine)
Rated estate (2023 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the wine:
One of the estate’s flagship wines, named a “favorite” in the previous vintage (to mention only the most recent one). Sauvignon and Sémillon contribute equally to this golden-gray wine, whose complex profile combines ripe fruit with the toasty and spicy notes of fine oak aging. Rich, savory, and persistent—"spherical"—the palate displays real power, crowned by a harmonious and long finish.
About the estate:
Created from scratch in 1967 by wine merchant Henri Lévêque, this estate—which originally covered 2 hectares—is now a beautiful, cohesive property spanning nearly 100 hectares (HVE3-certified), currently managed by the founder’s daughter, Marie-Hélène Lévêque, who has been advised by Hubert de Boüard since 2006. A sure bet in Graves, with numerous " Favorites its credit.

Rated wine (2018 guide) 16/20 + Editor's Choice (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2023 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the pinnacle of French winemaking.)
About the wine:
Chantegrive returns to the character of the great white wines that made its reputation. This 2015 vintage showcases the winery’s new approach, featuring a more mature style and a balanced interplay between aging and fruit ripeness.
About the estate:
An iconic estate in Podensac, at the heart of the Graves appellation, Chantegrive was founded by Henri Lévêque. This long-standing Bordeaux wine merchant began the venture in 1966 with just two hectares of vineyards. Long a pioneer in the production of ambitious wines, Chantegrive experienced a slump in the early 2000s. The estate, taken over by Marie-Hélène Lévêque with the guidance of Hubert de Boüard since 2006, now produces wines that have regained their place among the appellation’s finest. Launched in 2020, the Les Oiseaux range offers a cleverly modern and spontaneous take on Graves wines.

About the wine:
Attractive notes of papaya, lemon, and dried peaches, with a slightly herbaceous and stony edge. The palate offers breathtaking purity and clarity, with citrus and tangy tropical fruit flavors. The acidity keeps the finish truly fresh and vibrant.

A very good wine. The second bottle was opened on May 6, 2019; after about an hour of aeration, the aromas began to unfold. The wine is slightly full-bodied and very pleasant.
