“With a blend that includes an unusual 18% Petit Verdot, this wine is dark and robust in color, with strong flavors of black fruit. It is rich, intense, and full of tannins that suggest great aging potential. This powerful wine is likely to be ready to drink starting in 2025. ” (Wine Enthusiast 2021) Delivered in a wooden case for all orders of 12 bottles of this wine (excluding Pickup Point delivery)

It’s hard to overlook this paragon of the appellation in an extremely concentrated vintage that is already making its mark. A refined, harmonious profile with beautiful smoothness, balancing power and finesse, seduction and restraint. The palate is round, rich, and caressing, supported by firm yet mellow and very fruity tannins, where in the background, the oak remains harmonious and the toasted notes are perfectly balanced thanks to meticulous aging. The finish is long and fresh, featuring ripe fruit and a hint of vanilla. For lovers of classic Médoc wines, this is one of the best RQP/Plaisir offerings. Suitable for long-term aging or ready to drink now, paired with pan-seared slices of Landes duck foie gras, accompanied by caramelized apple rings in the absence of fresh figs. Rating = 4.1.
