Arsac Castle
Heir to a family winegrowing tradition spanning several generations, Philippe Raoux acquired Château d'Arsac in 1986. At the time, it was in a state of disrepair, so he undertook the restoration of the buildings and vineyard.

Château d'Arsac has 112 hectares of vineyards planted in a single block, part of which is in the Margaux appellation and the other in Haut-Médoc. It benefits from a favorable terroir: a sandy-gravelly hilltop mixed with a fairly thin layer of clay. Château d'Arsac produces two red wines: Château d'Arsac (Margaux) and Château Le Monteil d'Arsac (Haut Médoc), as well as a white wine: Château d'Arsac cuvée Céline (Bordeaux).

Philippe Raoux has not only built Château d'Arsac's reputation on the quality of its wines, but also as a place of creativity and openness to art. Every year since 1992, he has acquired a contemporary work of art: Claude Viallat, Niki de Saint Phalle, Bernard Pagès, César, and others have been added to the Sculpture Garden surrounding the Château.
