Wine rated (2022 guide) 91/100

About wine:

Concentrated nose, fresh and juicy on the palate, lots of red fruit and ripe cherries. The wine shines with its colorful expression. Fruity, not too dense, a fairly linear and airy style with freshness at the forefront. Bright and lively. 2022-2032

About wine:

The estate, dating back to the 16th century, now houses an impressive collection of modern sculptures. It has produced a beautifully balanced wine. The acidity accompanies the blackcurrant fruit, which has been softened by aging in wood. Developing into an elegant wine, it will be ready from 2026.

Terre de Vins

Wine rated (2020 guide) 94-95/100

About wine:

This exceptional Cru Bourgeois has a chalky nose with notes of pepper: Cabernet Sauvignon reigns supreme. The palate reveals a style characterized by fine tannins. It doesn't show off its strength, but rather a Margaux terroir known for its delicacy and subtlety.

Wine rated (2021 guide) 93/100

About wine:

The bouquet stands out for its freshness, with hints of raspberry and eucalyptus. The aging process is also evident in the mocha notes. With good fruit intensity on the palate, the wine has tight tannins that provide good structure. The finish is fruity and persistent. A wine that needs a little time to develop. 2024-2039

Beautiful dark color, pronounced tannins, very ripe red fruit—a Margaux that Hemingway would not have disdained.

Note and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on 04/26/2025

Arsac 2019 offers a beautiful balance between fine, silky tannins and well-balanced acidity, with an aromatic complexity of remarkable intensity of fresh black fruits mixed with earthy and smoky woody notes. The long, fresh finish is accompanied by the same savory sensations. Produced with the utmost care in collaboration with Hubert de Bouard, this aristocratic Cru Bourgeois has great potential for long cellaring. At maturity, it is already sufficiently complete and open to accompany a braised wild duck with porcini mushrooms, or a rack of Pauillac lamb with herbs for a more regional approach. Rating = 4.2.

Freshness, elegance, and finesse—fantastic at this price. I immediately ordered more bottles to leave in the cellar a little longer.
