"It doesn't show off its strength, but rather a Margaux terroir full of finesse and subtlety! ~ Terre de vins"

“A well-rounded Margaux—we’ll be coming back for more! A highly complex nose blending fruit, flowers, and spices; a silky texture; a lovely mouthfeel; fullness, freshness, depth, and balance. A well-rounded Margaux. Remarkable value for the price.” (Le Figaro 2021)

Wine rated (2022 guide) 91/100

About the wine:

Concentrated on the nose, fresh and juicy on the palate, with plenty of red berries and ripe cherries. The wine shines with its vibrant character. Fruity, not overly dense, with a fairly linear and airy style where freshness takes center stage. Brilliant and lively. 2022–2032

Wine rated (2022 guide) 94/100

About the wine:

The estate, dating back to the 16th century, is now home to an impressive collection of modern sculptures. It has produced a beautifully balanced wine. The acidity complements the blackcurrant fruit, which has been softened by aging in wood. As it develops into an elegant wine, it will be ready to drink starting in 2026.

Terre de Vins

Wine rated (2020 guide) 94-95/100

About the wine:

This exceptional Cru Bourgeois offers a chalky nose with notes of bell peppers: the Cabernet Sauvignon takes center stage. On the palate, it showcases a style characterized by refined tannins. It doesn’t flex its muscles, but rather reveals a Margaux terroir that’s all about delicacy and subtlety.

Yves Beck

Yves Beck

Wine rated (2021 guide) 93/100

About the wine:

The bouquet stands out for its freshness, with hints of raspberry and eucalyptus. The aging process is also evident in notes of mocha. With good fruit intensity on the palate, the wine has firm tannins that provide a solid foundation. The finish is fruity and lingering. This wine needs a little time to open up. 2024–2039

A beautiful deep color, pronounced tannins, very ripe red fruit—a Margaux that Hemingway wouldn't have turned his nose up at

Review and comment by Mr. GILLES D. Published on April 26, 2025

The 2019 Arsac offers a beautiful balance between fine, silky tannins and well-balanced acidity, with aromatic complexity featuring remarkably intense notes of fresh black fruit blended with earthy and smoky oak notes. The long, fresh finish is accompanied by the same savory sensations. Crafted with the utmost care in collaboration with Hubert de Bouard, this aristocratic Cru Bourgeois offers excellent aging potential in the cellar. When mature, it is already sufficiently full-bodied and open to pair wonderfully with braised wild duck with porcini mushrooms, or a rack of Pauillac lamb with herbs for a more regional approach. Rating = 4.2.

Freshness, elegance, and finesse—fantastic for this price. I immediately ordered a few more bottles to let them age a little longer in my wine cellar.
