Château Cordet Margaux 2018

Château Cordet Margaux 2018

balanced
creamy

" This enjoyable wine perfectly reflects the exceptional terroir from which it comes, despite the more modest quantities due to an interesting concentration at the end of the cycle. The 2018 vintage will charm you with its round fruit, beautiful tannic structure, and perfect balance. With great potential, it can also be enjoyed quickly after 1 or 2 hours of decanting." 3-star rating (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

For 25 years, Laurent von der Heyden has been proving that he produces one of the most elegant Margaux wines there is. Located on the finest gravel soils of Arsac, Monbrison draws all its refinement from this terroir, the perfect archetype of a delicate and smooth Margaux. Over the last few vintages, we have been delighted to see the wines become increasingly pure, precise, and energetic. The 2015 was impressive, and the 2016 and 2018 are just as impressive.

About the estate:

Acquired in 1922 by American Robert M. David, this estate, founded in the 18th century and dominated by an elegant manor house, was put back on track in the 1980s by his grandson Jean-Luc Vonderheyden (who died in 1992). His brother, Laurent, now runs a 14-hectare vineyard in a single block south of Margaux.
