About the domain :
Following in the footsteps of five generations, Baron Frédéric de Luze took over the reins of the family estate in 2004. In 1992, with his partner Thierry Decre, he created the LD Vins trading house, renowned for its distribution of grands crus classés. His untimely death shook Bordeaux to its core. Since 2010, Stéphane Derenoncourt has worked as a consultant. The wines are always elegant, fine and delicate, in short, very Margalais. 2015 saw a return to the forefront for this lovely estate, and 2016 confirms it!

Tactile, silky, very approachable with its round profile, yet not lacking in freshness or structure, it develops a superb bouquet of ripe red fruit, blackcurrant, spice and humus. About the domain :
Dating back to the 17th century, a vast château with a rose garden and a 32-hectare vineyard in a single block, set in the Garonne gravel of the Soussans plateau. Baron Alfred de Luze acquired the property in 1862, and since 2016 it has been managed by one of his descendants, Marguerite de Luze.

Paveil de Luze 2019 is bursting with very ripe dark red fruits, kirsch, blood orange, rose petals and spices. There's plenty of freshness to bring out some of the more exotic flavors. This is a particularly racy Margaux, full of character. The 2019 is impressive, just as it was in barrel.

Donker kersenrood. Neus: Cassis, braam, luxe hout, aristocratisch, niveau en inhoud ruik je meteen. Het strenge van Bdx blijft niet onopgemerkt. Fraaie, complexe aroma's. Mond: volle aanzet van cassis, bramen, kruidigheid, beetje mokka en weer dat luxe hout als omlijsting (geen hoofdrol). Tannine is reeds mooi versmolten, maar nog steeds fijnkorrelig aanwezig. Mooi in balans en belooft wat voor de toekomst. Hoogtepunt in 2030. Score: 16,5+/20
