About the estate:
Though somewhat secluded, Château du Tertre sits on a single, splendid hillock of siliceous gravel and has been magnificently restored and renovated by its Dutch owner, Éric Albada Jelgersma. Its aromatic character—very fresh and elegant—owes much to the proportion of excellent Cabernet Franc in the vineyard’s blend. Excellent value for money.

About the estate:
Under the leadership of its director, Alexander Van Beck, Château du Tertre has established itself as one of Margaux’s most reliable wines. Following its acquisition by Eric Albada Jelgersma, the estate underwent a profound transformation and modernization. Lower yields and significant investments have produced a full-bodied, lively wine that fully justifies its classification. The most recent vintages have proven particularly successful, maintaining a straightforward style—sometimes a bit austere—but aging well, thanks to a significant proportion of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc in the blend.

The Château du Tertre 2025 was harvested from September 8 to 22 and aged in 40% new oak barrels. It offers a cohesive and precise nose, with an abundance of black fruit and hints of graphite that stylistically bring it closer to a Pauillac. Beautiful definition. The palate is medium-bodied, with an attack that is again quite typical of a Pauillac thanks to that touch of graphite. Well-defined and with satisfying length, this is an elegant du Tertre, one of the best I have tasted from the barrel. 2031–2050
