"It ranks as a Grand Cru Classé (Neal Martin)"
"The Branas Grand Poujeaux 2019, grown at 39 hl/ha, has a delicious bouquet of black cherry, raspberry, and beautifully defined light cedar aromas that unfold gently in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins and a hint of spice. The harmonious, silky, and smooth finish is irresistible. Buy it." (Vinous 2021). A great Moulis! About wine:
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Branas Grand Poujeaux opens with notes of cedar chest, cherry cough syrup, and menthol, giving way to a core of crème de cassis and fruitcake with a hint of hoisin. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, the palate offers generous fruit and a solid structure of robust tannins, lingering with a hint of spice. A little old-fashioned, but very well made!

Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100
Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About wine:
The 2019 is just as full-bodied, but with a slightly more pronounced freshness on the finish, it is very well balanced.
About the estate:
Ideally located between Chasse-Spleen and Poujeaux, on the Grand Poujeaux plateau, the château has enjoyed a new lease of life since its purchase by Belgian Justin Onclin in 2002. The estate, which boasts remarkable terroir, has equipped itself with all the technical facilities necessary for producing a great wine and, for several vintages now, has been offering one of the most appealing and charming moulis available.

About wine:
This is a very solid Moulis with spices, notes of walnut, nutmeg, and redcurrant on the nose and palate. It is full-bodied and mellow. It has depth of fruit and structure. Drink after 2023.
