Château Croizet-Bages
As early as the 17th century, the Château Croizet-Bages vineyard was part of the extensive Bages estate. Located in the Pauillac AOC, it is classified as a Fifth Growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification. Sold to the Croizet brothers, Château Croizet-Bages was for a time owned by the American industrialist Jean-Baptiste Monnot, who owned the "Klaxon" brand, and was then purchased in 1942 by Paul Quié, a wine broker in Bercy.
Since 2004, the estate has been managed by Jean-Philippe Quié and his twin sister Anne-Françoise. As with their other château, Rauzan-Gassies, they aim to produce wines of excellence at Château Croizet-Bages —ripe and full-bodied.
