“On the nose, the vibrant elegance of red berries literally dances in the nostrils. This is followed by notes of white pepper and blooming lilac. Wonderfully balanced, fruity, and silky on the palate, with a saltier finish and grainy tannins. Not to mention excellent value for money. ” (Le Figaro 2022) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 12 bottles of this wine (depending on country and selected shipping method)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
The vineyard boasts one of the best located and most consistent terroirs in Pauillac, with considerable potential from old Cabernet Sauvignon vines that give the wine its remarkable vinosity and very noble spicy aromas. François-Xavier Borie manages it with wisdom, skill, and an obvious loyalty to Médoc classicism. The second wine, Lacoste-Borie, has improved significantly since 2014, but will be produced in smaller volumes in the future as it will no longer include the young vines of Château Haut-Batailley.
Decanter
Wine rated (2022 guide) 91/100
About wine:
Highly aromatic, it offers aromas of blackcurrant and black cherry, with hints of raspberry and other red berries. Juicy yet slightly creamier and chalky. This wine is quite dense without being heavy, but sufficiently concentrated, with a core of bright, intense fruit that carries through from start to finish. 2023–2036

Wine rating (2022 guide) 90/100 (Outstanding wine)
Rated Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About wine:
Lacoste-Borie 2019 is a wine of immense charm. Bursting from the glass with aromas of blackcurrant, licorice, sweet spices, loamy soil, and cigar wrapper, it is medium-bodied to full-bodied, fleshy and well-integrated, with ripe tannins, succulent acidity, and a round, generous profile. 2023–2043

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2 stars (These very large estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, thanks to their consistency and the excellence of their production, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers).
About the estate:
This estate has had only two owners in 75 years: Raymond Dupin, from 1932 to 1978, then the Borie family, represented today by François-Xavier and his daughter Emeline. They manage this fifth growth classified as a homogenous vineyard on the gravel and clay plateau of Grand-Puy, with a good proportion of old vines. Consistency has been flawless for a good decade now, and some older vintages still surprise. "GPL," as they say in Bordeaux, produces a classic Pauillac, full-bodied and lively, with richly spiced tannins and a rather straightforward style. In great vintages, it acquires a magnificent mellowness that improves with age.
Vinous
Wine rated (2021 guide) 92/100
About wine:
The 2019 Lacoste-Borie was impressive when I received a barrel sample last spring. Now bottled, it offers a lively, quite floral bouquet—almost reminiscent of a Margaux—that bursts from the glass, with aromas of raspberry, rooibos, and blackcurrant. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and well-concentrated, a bit spicier than I remember, and a bit sweeter on the finish, but with good length and admirable harmony. It should be enjoyable to drink in a few years. 2023–2040

Yves Beck
Wine rated (2021 guide) 92/100
About wine:
Fruity and spicy character, with good intensity. Hints of black pepper, eucalyptus, and blackberries. A rich and juicy attack. The wine has body, depth, and a lovely fruity intensity on the finish. It will become more supple over the coming years. A flavorful wine, very typical of Pauillac, and well-suited for aging. 2024–2039
