"Deep, vibrant nose, aromatic and fragrant, with floral notes and light touches of licorice, earth, blackcurrant, black cherry and raspberry with herbaceous accents. Succulent, lively and tangy from the start. Remarkably pure and precise, its supple yet fine tannins mark the pace and confer a delicate yet highly seductive structure. Beautifully precise and generous, it is elegant and lively, with good persistent fruit and tempting acidity and vivacity. Intense yet pure, complex yet almost light, with underlying notes of wet stone and graphite bringing mineral and subtly spicy touches. Well made and easy to drink. (Decanter 2023)

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2021) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)
About the domain :
The cru boasts one of the best-situated and most homogeneous terroirs in Pauillac, with appreciable potential from old Cabernet-Sauvignon vines that give it its remarkable vinosity and noble spicy aromas. François-Xavier Borie manages it with wisdom, competence and an obvious fidelity to Médoc classicism. The lacoste-borie second wine had clearly progressed since 2014, but will be produced in smaller volumes in the future as it will no longer integrate the young vines of Château Haut-Batailley.

Domaine noté Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the wine:
A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc, Lacoste-Borie 2022 is one of the best wines I've tasted from this brand. It presents aromas of blackcurrant, charcoal and violet. Medium to full-bodied, it is ample and lively, with excellent depth and persistence.

Domaine rated (guide 2021) 2*Stars (These great estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves which, because of their consistency and the excellence of their production, must be included in the cellars of discerning connoisseurs).
About the domain :
This estate has had just two owners in 75 years: Raymond Dupin, from 1932 to 1978, then the Borie family, represented today by François-Xavier and his daughter Emeline. They manage this fifth Cru Classé with its homogeneous vineyard on the gravel-clay plateau of Grand-Puy, with a good proportion of old vines. Regularity has been flawless for a good decade now, and some older vintages still surprise. "GPL", as they say in Bordeaux, produces a classic Pauillac, full and nervous, with richly spicy tannins and a rather straightforward style. In great vintages, it acquires a magnificent mellowness that benefits from ageing.

Le Figaro vins
Wine rated (2023 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
Like a deep well that gradually reveals its mysteries of bark, cinnamon stick, ripe blackcurrants and blueberries, and powdery iris. On the palate, tenderness asserts itself in a sparkling material with delicate spicy notes. A fine second wine that perfectly combines drinkability and seriousness with a gourmet finish of fresh coffee. 2027-2037

Wine rated (2024 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
Hints of graphite and dark berries in the bouquet of Lacoste-Borie, which also displays great finesse. On the palate, the wine convinces with its freshness and temperament. It is precise, linear and supported by compact, powerful, supportive tannins. A sapid, thirst-quenching wine. 2027-2042
