“A predominant freshness combined with notes of mild spices ~ Yves Beck”

“The bouquet of the Haut-Bages de Monpelou is appealing, with a predominant freshness combined with notes of sweet spices. The wine is slightly creamy on the palate and displays a well-balanced character. Its velvety tannins complement the wine’s structure, which further highlights its freshness. A savory and persistent wine. 2028–2040” (Yves Beck 2026)

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

The flagship wine of Borie Manoux, a venerable wine merchant founded in 1870 by the Castéja family—one of Pauillac’s oldest families—which has owned the estate since 1932. A beautiful 55-hectare estate located at the southwestern edge of the appellation, it is said to owe its name to a battle that took place on these lands in 1453.
