Château Haut-Bages Monpelou, located in the Pauillac appellation, is one of ten wine estates owned by the Castéja family of Bordeaux. Formerly part of Château Duhart-Milon, Château Haut-Bages Monpelou is now managed as an independent estate by the teams at Château Batailley, a Fifth Growth.
Situated on magnificent Garonne gravel terroir, the 15-hectare estate produces wines typical of the Pauillac AOC: concentrated, full-bodied and woody. A Cru Bourgeois du Médoc for several vintages, Château Haut-Bages Monpelouhas a classic blend of Bordeaux left bank wines, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Critically acclaimed on several occasions, Château Haut-Bages Monpelou is considered a Gem Médoc. It offers excellent value for money with a beautiful typicity and great aging potential.
