A nose of smoky blackcurrant, cherries, and fragrant plums. Floral, open, and generous in terms of aromas and flavors on the palate, with delightful juiciness and overall liveliness. This wine has a tight backbone with a vein of spice and minerality, as well as a firm tannic structure that places you squarely in Pauillac—you can taste the salty stones of the terroir. An excellent wine with great potential for both immediate enjoyment and long-term aging. First official vintage in the transition to organic farming. 2% Petit Verdot rounds out the blend. 2026–2043

About the estate:

Françoise and Jacky Lorenzetti sold their network of real estate agencies (Foncia) and purchased this château in 2009 from the Jugla family. They undertook major renovations in the vineyard and cellar (including the construction of a new wine cellar by Jean-Michel Wilmotte) to restore the reputation of this estate, founded in 1810, whose vineyards now cover approximately 50 hectares following the acquisition of new plots.

It features notes of blackberry, ripe blackcurrant, and a hint of wild raspberry, combined with subtle hints of strawberry, morello cherry, and licorice, as well as a subtle touch of blueberry, violet, and very subtle hints of tonka bean, cardamom, and vanilla/toast. The palate is fruity, elegant, and offers richness, juiciness, precision, and a fine texture. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackcurrant, strawberry, and, more subtly, juicy plum, combined with hints of juicy/pulpy raspberry, violet, and very subtle hints of cocoa, nutmeg, and vanilla. Good length.
