Château Pichon-Longueville Baron

Château Pichon Longueville Baron is located in Pauillac, within the Pauillac AOC. It is classified as a Second Grand Cru in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

The vineyards of Château Pichon Longueville Baroncover 73 hectares of beautiful gravelly soil south of the town of Pauillac. The Pauillac appellation enjoys a relatively warm, humid, breezy, and sunny climate, influenced by the proximity of the Gironde River and shaped by the tides. The terroir of Château Pichon Longueville Baron consists of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc.

For several years now, Jean-René Matignon and his team have implemented an integrated pest management program for the vineyard, which was recognized in 2000 with an environmental protection certification.
