Château Pichon-Longueville Baron

Château Pichon Longueville Baron is located in Pauillac, in the Pauillac AOC. It is classified as a Second Growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

The vineyard of Château Pichon Longueville Baroncovers 73 hectares of beautiful gravelly soil south of the commune of Pauillac. The Pauillac appellation enjoys a relatively warm and humid climate, with plenty of air and light, influenced by the proximity of the Gironde and punctuated by the tides. The terroir of Château Pichon Longueville Baron consists of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 3% Cabernet Franc.

For several years, Jean-René Matignon and his team have implemented an integrated vineyard protection method, which was rewarded in 2000 with environmental protection certification.
