Ferran Castle
Château Ferran, located in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan AOC in the Bordeaux region, belonged to Montesquieu, philosopher, winegrower, and owner of the estate in the 18th century. Château Ferran benefits from a terroir that has consistently produced red and white wines (labeled "Premiers graves Martillac" at the time). Owned since 1880 by an old Bordeaux family, the descendants of Joseph Beraud-Sudreau, Philippe and Ghislaine Lacoste have been managing the Château Ferran estate since 1999.

The extensive restructuring of the Château Ferran vineyard and renovation of the cellars undertaken in recent years have quickly been rewarded with numerous medals and high ratings from French, English, and American journalists, particularly during the Primeurs AOC Pessac-Léognan tastings. Work in the vineyard, including debudding, leaf removal, thinning, manual harvesting plot by plot, and sorting in the vineyard or in the vat room, allows the best lots to be selected and blended during aging for Château Ferran, and a more supple second wine to be produced under the name Château de Belloc.
