"A kick of acidity thanks to the citrus notes!"

"Ferran Blanc 2021 has a light nose of apple blossom, chalk and hints of white peach. The palate is well balanced with lively acidity, a rather mischievous and delicious style: peach skin, hints of chamomile and mango. This wine is worth seeking out and is in a different league to the red." (Vinous 2023)

Wine rated (2023 guide) 89/100

About the wine:

Juicy and lively, it's a whiplash of citrus acidity with orange, lime and green apple. Mildly appetizing and truly fresh, it builds to a long finish with an undercurrent of minerality (wet stone) throughout, giving it a cleansing quality on the tongue. Very typical aromas. Easy to drink. 2024-2030

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine noted (guide 2024) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

Domaine rated (guide 2015) Awarded wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)

About the wine:

Classic in its pretty pale yellow color, this wine is discreet but pleasing in its aromatic development, opening with agitation on notes of acacia and citrus. Less quiet, the palate is supple and fresh from start to finish, with a touch of fat that rounds out the edges. A harmonious whole. 2024-2028

About the domain :

This 22-hectare cru, once part of the Montesquieu estates, has been owned by the Béraud-Sudreau family since 1885. For a long time one of the "sleeping beauties" of the Bordeaux region, this estate has been in full revival since the arrival in 1999 of the fifth generation, represented by Philippe and Ghislaine Lacoste.

Note and review by M. GILLES D. Published on 30/09/2025

If the red is already a success, the white is even more so in this excellent 2021 vintage. A beautiful amplitude is propelled on the palate by a lively freshness rounded out by a lovely fatness, a good citrus base and a floral touch. Nervous finish marked by a hint of saltiness. Very attractive value for money. Tasted with sole meunière. Score = 4.
