"A good representative of the appellation at an affordable price!"
"Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it displays fragrant notes of cherry brandy, candied plums, Boysenberries, and raspberry coulis, along with hints of spice cake, licorice, and garrigue, with a hint of crushed black pepper. The medium-bodied palate is elegant and spicy, offering a delicate texture and consistent freshness, and ending with a savory finish." (Wine Advocate 2021)

About the estate:
This 22-hectare vineyard, which once belonged to Montesquieu, has been owned by the Béraud-Sudreau family since 1885. Long considered one of Bordeaux's "sleeping beauties," this estate has been undergoing a revival since the arrival in 1999 of the fifth generation, represented by Philippe and Ghislaine Lacoste.

Vinous
Wine rated (2021 guide) 88-90/100
About wine:
Ferran 2020 presents a pure and lively bouquet of black cherries, blueberries, black olives, and subtle marine scents that unfold with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied, with crisp tannins, fine acidity, modest depth, and a fairly structured finish tinged with dark chocolate. This may not be a wine for the long term, but it is well-proportioned. 2025-2035
James Suckling
Wine rated (2022 guide) 91/100
About wine:
Aroma of blackcurrant, licorice, spearmint, rust, and bark. It is medium-bodied to full-bodied with firm, mellow tannins. Compact and flavorful, though a bit rustic in its tannic texture. It needs to soften up. Try it in 2025.
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2021 guide) 89-90/100
About wine:
Inviting bouquet with good intensity. It reveals freshness and fruity notes. Juicy and fruity on the palate. The wine has character thanks to the freshness of its acidic structure and tight tannins. Beautiful fruity expression on the finish. 2024-2034
