“It’s essential to taste it while it’s young, accepting the risk that once tasted, it will be drunk—no waiting! ~ Yves Beck”
"One of the most appealing white wines from Bordeaux in recent years, Château de Fieuzal's Blanc 2025 unfolds in the glass with an enticing bouquet of pear, white peach, spices, flowers, and ripe orchard fruits. Medium- to full-bodied, complex, and dense, it centers on a fleshy, harmonious fruit core, framed by lively acidity that carries through to a long, mineral, and precise finish. This is a particularly successful cuvée, ranking among the vintage’s most accomplished white wines. " (The Wine Advocate 2026)

Rated estate (2023 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
This estate was long renowned first for its white wine—one of the most well-rounded in Léognan—and later for its red, which, at its best, is one of the finest expressions of the Pessac-Léognan character. The past decade has seen the return of Fieuzal white to its former glory. The new, state-of-the-art cellars, equipped with numerous small tanks of various sizes—made of concrete, stainless steel, or wood—now allow Stephen Carrier, the director, to craft wines of the highest caliber.

About the estate:
This classified growth, located in the very southern part of Léognan, produced some of Bordeaux’s finest white wines in the 1980s. After being sold to Banque Populaire in 1994, Fieuzal declined until 2001. That was the year Irish businessman Lochlann Quinn acquired it, then hired Stephen Carrier, originally from Champagne, as director. From then on, the estate regained its former excellence, with a clear focus on body, structure, and tannic elegance in the reds, and freshness in the whites following the arrival of consultant Thomas Duclos. With some setbacks (2013) and great successes (2008), the whites are gradually reclaiming their full-bodied, intense character and aging potential.

About the wine:
This wine has a medium to full body, with crisp acidity and notes of green apple and peach, complemented by a subtle texture. It offers a delightful balance between concentration and freshness.

About the wine:
Subtle and complex, Fieuzal’s bouquet unfolds gradually, revealing notes of apricot, lime, nectarine, and anise. With a briny attack, the wine stands out for its elegance and its ability to blend power and finesse. It is fresh, lively, structured, and persistent. It can certainly age well in the cellar, but it is essential to taste it in its youth, accepting the risk that once tasted, it will be drunk immediately, without waiting! 2027–2047
