As at Fonroque (Saint-Émilion), director Alain Moueix—a talented viticultural engineer and oenologist from a distinguished family of Libourne winegrowers and merchants—brings his dedication, expertise, and know-how to the estate. The essential contribution of biodynamic farming has propelled this estate on an upward trajectory of quality, earning it a well-deserved rise in status. The resulting wines are lively and elegant. The most recent vintages prove to be particularly charming.

Located at the northern entrance to Libourne, this large estate is managed by Alain Moueix. He applies the same viticultural philosophy here as he does at Château Fonroque in Saint-Émilion. The vineyard was certified organic in 2015 and biodynamic in 2018. Shaped by the very nature of the Mazeyres terroir to be elegant and well-balanced, the wines have reached a new level in recent vintages. We are captivated by these Pomerols—harmonious, refined, and natural all at once—with breathtaking finesse of flavor. The time has come for their first star.
