Canon Castle
Château Canon is owned by the Wertheimer family, who also own the Chanel fashion house, as well as Château Rauzan-Ségla in Margaux and Berliquet in Saint-Émilion. This great wine, managed by Nicolas Audebert, holds the rank of 1er Grand Cru Classé B within the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation.

The 24-hectare vineyard is situated on a south/southwest-facing clay-limestone plateau rising to 87 meters. Château Canon sits atopquarrieswhere shell-streaked limestone forms its incomparable terroir and shapes its unique identity. The two grape varieties grown here are 62% Merlot and 38% Cabernet Franc. The wines are crafted with a delicate, lace-like finesse and elegance.

Recently, Château Canon has produced one of its finest series of vintages, such as the 2019—moving, vibrant, and dangerously addictive. Or the 2022 vintage, a majestic wine of absolute sophistication and class. This legendary wine is in the process of converting to Organic Agriculture certification; the first certified vintage will be the 2024.
