"What praise for this organic phenomenon: absolutely breathtaking, Favorite , the best wine in the history of the vintage!"

Dominated by Cabernet Franc, Jean Faure's bouquet stands out for its freshness, its sparkle, and its floral, vegetal, and fruity notes that highlight both its finesse and complexity. Finesse leads the palate from the outset, with a skilful harmony between energy, charm and vigor. The wine shines with its brilliance and detail. It loves high definition, just like the owner's Hi-Fi system! There are Watts, but above all there is a rhythmic and catchy melody." (Yves Beck 2024)

Wine rated (2025 guide) 95/100 (Extraordinary wine)

Rated Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)

About wine:

Composed of 65% Cabernet Franc, Jean Faure 2022 has blossomed beautifully in the bottle, exuding complex aromas of raspberry and plum, mingled with notes of rose petals, violet, and fresh mint. Beautifully structured, velvety and complex, with a dense and creamy core of ripe, lively fruit, supported by very fine tannins, this wine is the finest Jean Faure ever produced in bottle. 2027-2050

Wine rating (2026 guide) 97/100 Favorite

Rated estate (2018 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

Certainly the most complete and touching vintage Jean Faure has ever produced! Although still in its infancy, it already evokes a special emotion. Floral, licorice, and black fruit nuances fill the glass and immediately transport us. This intoxicating fragrance enlivens a racy, long-lasting substance.

About the estate:

Ideally located between Cheval-Blanc, La Dominique, and Ripeau, Château Jean-Faure was acquired in 2004 by Olivier Decelle, who also owns Mas Amiel in Roussillon and part of the young Nuit-Saint-Georges négociant, Decelle-Villa. Thoroughly redesigned, Jean Faure reveals, vintage after vintage, striking and exciting similarities with the Pomerol style of Cheval-Blanc, without being a copy of it in any way. Jean Faure explores a unique "Pinot-like" fruitiness with its Cabernets. This progress could only be achieved by focusing the estate's efforts on major agronomic improvements. Cabernet Franc is no longer considered here as a complement to the blend, but is valued as the heart of the wine.

About wine:

Jean Faure 2022 is absolutely breathtaking. It expresses itself much better in the bottle than in the barrel. Intense aromas blend into a heart of bright red/purple fruits. Blood orange, raspberry, mocha, spices, and new leather escape from the glass with remarkable power. Best enjoyed between 2027 and 2042.
