Château Trotte Vieille
Château Trottevieille is part of the exclusive circle of Saint-Émilion's First Growths.
It is one of Borie-Manoux's flagship wines.
Now managed by Philippe Castéja, this 12-hectare vineyard, located on the eastern slope of the Saint-Émilion plateau, features a unique blend of grape varieties, with equal proportions of Merlot and the Cabernets.
Trottevieille wines develop in a style characterized by great finesse and excellent aging potential.

Château Trotte Vieille owes its name to an old lady who lived in this house several hundred years ago. Legend has it that near the château, at the intersection of the roads, there was a stagecoach stop, and every time a stagecoach pulled up, the old lady would trot down to find out what was going on—hence the name Trotte Vieille.
Thus, the château's second wine was created in 2002 under the name La Vieille Dame de Trotte Vieille.
An old parchment written in Gascon dating from the 15th century already attests to the use of this name.

Remarkably, there is still a vineyard plot dating from before the phylloxera epidemic.
Hand-picking into crates and winemaking are always carried out with great care.
A First Growth from Saint-Émilion, this wine is renowned for its elegance, roundness, and long finish.
