Château Trotte Vieille
Château Trottevieille is one of the select group of Saint-Émilion Premier Crus Classés.
It is one of Borie-Manoux's flagship wines.
Now managed by Philippe Castéja, this 12-hectare vineyard, located on the eastern slope of the Saint-Émilion plateau, features a unique blend of grape varieties, with equal parts Merlot and Cabernet.
Trottevieille wines develop in a style characterized by great finesse and excellent aging potential.

Château Trotte Vieille owes its name to an old lady who lived in this house several hundred years ago. Legend has it that near the château, at the crossroads, there was a stagecoach stop, and every time a carriage pulled up, the old lady would trot down to find out the latest news—hence the name Trotte Vieille.
Thus, the château's second wine was created in 2002 under the name La Vieille Dame de Trotte Vieille.
An old Gascon manuscript dating from the 15th century already attests to the use of this name.

Remarkably, there is still a vineyard plot dating from before the phylloxera epidemic.
The grapes are still carefully hand-harvested into crates, and the winemaking process is carried out with great care.
A First Growth from Saint-Émilion, this wine is renowned for its elegance, roundness, and long finish.
