Château Trotte Vieille
Château Trottevieille belongs to the closed circle of Saint Emilion's premier crus classés.
This is one of the jewels in the crown of the Borie-Manoux house.
Today administered by Philippe Castéja, this 12-hectare cru, located on the eastern slope of the Saint-Émilion plateau, features an original grape variety, with equal proportions of Merlot and Cabernet.
Trottevieille wines evolve in a style characterized by great finesse and ageing potential.

Château Trotte Vieille, owes its name to an old lady who lived in this house several hundred years ago. Legend has it that at the crossroads near the château was a stagecoach stop, and whenever a carriage stopped, the old lady would trot down to get the news, hence the name Trotte Vieille.
The Château's second wine, La Vieille Dame de Trotte Vieille, was created in 2002.
An old parchment in Gascon dating from the 15th century already attests to the use of this name.

Exceptionally, a piece of pre-phylloxera vineyard still exists.
Hand-picking in crates and vinification are always meticulously carried out.
1er Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Émilion, this wine is renowned for its elegance, roundness and great length.
