Château Le Crock
Château Le Crock is owned by the Cuvelier family, wine merchants in Lille since 1804, who have been at the helm of the prestigious Château Léoville Poyferré—a Second Growth in the Saint-Julien appellation—since 1920, and whose 80-hectare vineyard stretches through the heart of the Médoc. This estate, which receives the same care as Léoville Poyferré, is surrounded by the Grands Crus Classés Château Cos d’Estournel and Château Montrose and comprises 32 hectares of vineyards. The oldest and best-located vines produce Château Le Crock’s premier wine, while the others are used to make the second wine, La Croix Saint-Estèphe.

Thanks to an effective restructuring and modernization program,Didier Cuvelier has succeeded in making Château Le Crock one of the jewels of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The winemaking methods are all geared toward a single goal: achieving optimal quality. The most significant factors in this process include low yields, meticulously sorted hand-harvested grapes, winemaking supervised by oenologist Michel Rolland, and barrel fermentation.
