"Vigorous yet elegant, consistently excellent, and admirable for its depth and natural energy. A safe bet and sure to offer great value for the price. ~ B&D"
“What depth and clarity in Meyney’s bouquet—qualities it conveys right from the start, without hesitation, with a disarming serenity! Nuances of black berries, orange peel, pepper, sweet spices, and graphite come together to highlight the wine’s diversity and the resulting complexity. On the palate, the wine follows a refined and precise trajectory. It has chosen the path of wisdom and reveals its power late, on the finish, where the tannins are able to demonstrate their best qualities—in terms of structure, freshness, and length. Everything is coherent, perfectly in place. A Meyney that stands out above all for its subtlety and finesse. It is these qualities that validate the wine’s qualitative ambitions and allow it to embrace its power—two inseparable elements that shine through their complementary nature.” (Yves Beck 2026)

Wine rated (2026 guide) 94-95/100
Rated estate (2019 guide): 3*Stars (High-quality production that serves as a benchmark in its sector)
About the wine:
Vigorous yet slender, consistently impressive, and admirable for its depth and natural energy. A safe bet and excellent value for the price.
About the estate:
Acquired by CA Grands Crus in 2004, Meyney is a little gem of Médoc architecture, prized as much for its location as for the quality of its wines. The approximately 50 hectares surrounding the château—situated on a ridge of siliceous gravel and deep blue clay along the banks of the Gironde—provide ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines have regained the luster of their heyday. They possess excellent aging potential. A must-try.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a good standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
The 2025 vintage has produced a real long-distance runner; a concentrated and powerful wine, yet endowed with the balance and freshness that are the hallmarks of its terroir. A distinguished wine that finishes with beautifully firm tannins and a welcome hint of sapidity.
About the estate:
This wine is unquestionably one of the best “unclassified” wines in the Médoc. It’s worth noting that it benefits from a remarkable terroir, located on the banks of the Gironde River, and is efficiently managed by the teams at CA Grands Crus (Crédit Agricole), now led by Anne le Naour. A vineyard restructuring plan has been implemented, and the most recent vintages are comparable to the estate’s legendary ’61, ’86, and ’89 vintages. Meyney develops rather slowly and is a true long-distance runner; it reaches its peak after a good ten years.

About the wine:
A true essence of the 2025 vintage, displaying beautiful maturity, from its terroir where the vines draw their nourishment from a vein of blue clay—a rarity in the Médoc. Its deep color releases aromas of wild strawberries,
