“A top-tier Clos du Marquis. Well-rounded, creamy on the palate, and incredibly smooth. It easily rivals many classified growths! ~ La RVF”
“On the nose, a captivating, playful fruitiness with rich yet delicate red berries that feels like sinking into a velvet sofa. A magical blend of aromas, ranging from ripe fruit to the sap-like freshness of plants after the rain, with hints of freshly cut flowers. A divine palate of perfectly ripe fruit, supported by a savory structure that makes you want to have another sip. A real treat!” (Le Figaro 2023) - Delivery in a wooden case is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected)

Guide Hachette des vins
Rated wine (2024 guide) 2* Stars (Outstanding wine)
Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the wine:
This vintage produced a truly beautiful Clos du Marquis, made from 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 6% Cabernet Franc. A Saint-Julien of remarkable intensity from start to finish: a dense—very dense, in fact—color verging on black; a rich nose of ripe black fruits, brandy-soaked cherries, smoky notes, and mocha; the palate is equally impressive, full-bodied and powerful, with lively tannins and a freshness that makes all the difference on the finish. It certainly has power—a great deal of it, in fact—but it also possesses elegance—plenty of that, too—and savory depth. 2030–2040
About the estate:
Often regarded as the second wine of Léoville Las Cases, Clos du Marquis—established in 1902—is in fact a cru in its own right. Its vineyard, planted on a very uniform Mindel gravel terroir, is located northwest of the village of Saint-Julien, while the main vineyard lies to the northeast.

About the wine:
The most recent vintages will age exceptionally well, as exemplified by the 2020—a wine that sparkles with brilliance and radiant fruit—a Clos du Marquis of the very highest caliber. A very well-rounded wine, creamy on the palate and incredibly smooth. A Clos that easily rivals many classified growths.
About the estate:
Long regarded as the second wine of Léoville Las Cases, Clos du Marquis is now a cru in its own right, produced from a selection of dedicated plots located at the heart of the classified growths region: it benefits from the full attention and expertise of the Las Cases team. It’s no surprise that its quality rivals that of a third grand cru classé, with, moreover, impeccable consistency. A truly excellent value.

About the wine:
Aromas of blackcurrant, crushed stone, and minerals. Graphite, too. Medium-bodied, very refined and elegant. Pencil lead. Very well-integrated. Needs time to open up and reveal its true character. Sweet tobacco on the finish. 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 33% Merlot. Best after 2028.
