Doisy-Védrines Castle
For centuries, the Knights of Védrines were the owners of the estate to which they gave their name. Grand

Cru Classé in 1855, it was acquired by the ancestors of the current owners in the mid-19th century.
Château Doisy-Védrines is situated on the clay-limestone ridge of Haut Barsac and comprises 35 hectares of vineyards.
The vineyard soils are cultivated using traditional methods. The grapes are harvested by hand in successive passes (6 to 8 in total). Fermentation and aging take place in barrels (French oak only). The combination of modern techniques and traditional methods gives the wines of Château Doisy-Védrines the vibrant vitality and finesse expected of Sauternes Crus Classés. Doisy-Védrines produces 36,000 bottles. Well-balanced and youthful, these wines are a true pleasure as an aperitif. With an older vintage, they are best enjoyed at the end of a meal.
