Château Sigalas Rabaud
Château Sigalas Rabaud, less than 500 m from Château d'Yquem, is owned by the Lambert family. The Rabaud estate, built around 1660, was redeveloped in 1903, when M. de Sigalas created a "jewel of terroir" combining the sunny, gravelly parcels purchased by his father forty years earlier. Six generations later, the grandchildren of the last representative of the eldest branch of the Sigalas family, the Marquise de Lambert des Granges, have the same passion for cultivating their vines and raising their wines.

Château Sigalas Rabaud comprises 14 hectares of vines, making it the smallest of the Premiers Crus Classés in 1855. The environment and respect for biodiversity are priorities at Sigalas-Rabaud. Pest management is increasingly based on precise observation. Massal selection" enables us to preserve the old plant material that contributes to the very special taste of Sigalas-Rabaud. Disbudding, leaf thinning, pruning and, above all, numerous and very precise "selections" during the harvest enable us to pick the best botrytis from fully ripe grapes.

Château Sigalas Rabaud produces a fine, fresh, elegant Sauternes, combining the structure of 85% Semillon with the charm of 15% Sauvignon. Discreet, discreet, described as an "insider's wine", pleasant to discover when young, its aromas of lime blossom and white fruit can be kept for over a century.
