Hachette Wine Guide rating: 2** (Outstanding wine) + Favorite
"Charmes has a beautiful sparkling ruby color and a flattering, ripe nose of morello cherries in alcohol and undergrowth, enlivened by a hint of saltiness. This invigorating note is found on the palate, which is very refined, clean, silky, airy, and sufficiently structured to withstand long aging (eight to ten years). A true Chambolle. Its only flaw: its obscurity." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014)
