"Charmes has a beautiful sparkling ruby color and a flattering, ripe nose of morello cherries in alcohol and undergrowth, enlivened by a hint of saltiness. This invigorating note is found on the palate, which is very refined, clean, silky, airy, and sufficiently structured to withstand long aging (eight to ten years). A true Chambolle. About the estate:

A major wine merchant established in 1961 by Jean-Claude Boisset, based in Nuits-Saint-Georges in the former Ursuline convent, which owns vineyards throughout Burgundy, as well as other vineyards in France and abroad.
