Chambolle-Musigny
The Chambolle-Musigny and Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru appellations d'origine contrôlée (AOC) are municipal appellations in the Côte de Nuits region of the Côte-d'Or department, recognized since 1936. It includes 24 Premier Cru-classified climats. In addition, the municipality of Chambolle-Musigny produces two Grands Crus: Musigny and Bonnes Mares. As is often the case in Burgundy, the appellations Chambolle-Musigny and Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru may or may not be followed by the name of their climat of origin.

The vineyards of Chambolle-Musigny cover approximately 152 hectares, 56 of which are Premier Cru, and are situated at an altitude of between 250 and 300 meters facing east, on clay-limestone soils containing gravel that ensures good drainage.

The Chambolle-Musigny appellation produces exclusively red wines made from one of Burgundy’s flagship grape varieties: Pinot Noir. Chambolle-Musigny wines offer a profile that is both powerful and feminine, full of elegance and finesse. The wines offered by Domaine Joseph Drouhin, Domaine Leroy, Domaine Faiveley, Domaine Perrot-Minot, and Domaine Antonin Guyon perfectly reveal these characteristics.
