Domaine du Clos Salomon
In the same family for almost five centuries, Domaine du Clos Salomon is a ten-hectare estate in the Côte Chalonnaise region, dedicated to sublimating the Montagny and Givry 1er Cru appellations, including the Clos Salomon Monopole.
The Domaine du Clos Salomon vineyard is divided into 3 parcels: "Clos Salomon", a Givry 1er Cru of almost 7 hectares, "Grande Berge", a 0.4-hectare parcel of Givry 1er Cru planted with Chardonnay, and 2 hectares of Montagny "Le Clou".
Ludovic du Gardin, owner of the Domaine du Clos Salomon, believes that the quality of the wine comes first and foremost from an integrated viticultural approach. Yields are assessed on the basis of the load on each vine and not on the plot as a whole, to ensure even ripeness of the grapes at harvest.
