La Chapelle House
Delphine and Grégory Viennois, both originally from Burgundy, are returning to their roots with the creation of their wine merchant business, La Maison de la Chapelle. These two wine enthusiasts are embarking on this adventure with their very first vintage in 2014. Delphine, who comes from a family of winemakers, has always been connected to the great Burgundian estates. As for Grégory, an oenologist, he trained with leading Burgundian names such as Domaine J. Prieur and Domaine de l’Arlot, as well as other renowned estates including Smith-Haut Lafitte, M. Chapoutier, Ferraton Père & Fils, and under Stéphane Derenoncourt. Now back in Burgundy, running his own winery, he also serves as technical director at Domaine Laroche in Chablis and as a consultant at Quinta Do Monte d’Oiro in Portugal.

Located in the Irancy appellation, Maison de La Chapelle produces single-vineyard wines to highlight the concept of “climat” unique to Burgundy. This young winery produces only red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape, in keeping with Burgundian tradition and expertise. A promising winery that is already bringing prestige to this appellation—still relatively unknown but on the rise among Burgundy wines.
