Les Bâtardes 2018 continues to seduce us with its finesse and authenticity. Black fruit is present on the nose and palate, accompanied by spicy notes. Full-bodied, structured, and with delicate tannins, the palate is elegant and harmonious.

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (guide 2020) 15,5/20 (vintage 2017) (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2020 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
The wonderful adventure continues for Grégory Viennois and Delphine Carré, alongside their respective activities for the Laroche estates. This pure red wine merchant in the Irancy appellation was missing from the region's landscape, especially as they launched with the splendid 2015 vintage. In 2016, they preferred to blend everything into a single cuvée, but the 2017 vintage sees a return to the now customary three cuvées, with an absolutely splendid Beaux-Monts. You'll need to reserve your cuvées at the estate very early!
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine noted (guide 2020) 3* Favorite (Millésime 2017) (Exceptional wine)
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
A very young wine merchant established in 2015 by Delphine and Grégory Viennois. Delphine comes from a family of winemakers and has worked for some of Burgundy's leading estates. The latter, also from Burgundy and a graduate in oenology, has an impressive CV: he learned the trade with Nadine Gublin (Dom. Jacques Prieur) and Jean-Pierre de Smet (Dom. de l'Arlot), made wine at Ch. Smith-Haut-Lafitte, was technical director at Michel Chapoutier and managing director at Ferraton Père & Fils. Since 2011, he has been technical director at Dom. Laroche in Chablis and has been consulting for Quinta Do Monte d'Oiro in Portugal since 2006.

For an Irancy, it's not that bad! Delicate and refined in an excellent vintage, it is very pleasant and shows that the appellation has a lot to offer!
