“Aromas of cherries, sweet berries, smoke, spices, and flower petals herald the 2019 Irancy, a medium-bodied, lively, and succulent wine that was aged 100% in barrels. This wine has proven to be beautifully crafted.” (Wine Advocate 2021). The 2019 Irancy from this promising winery offers a beautiful, expressive nose of stone fruits, with an energetic palate. A lovely finesse emerges on the palate, with tannins that are still tight.

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide): 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous vintage)
About the estate:
The wonderful journey continues for Grégory Viennois and Delphine Carré, alongside their respective roles at the Laroche estates. This pure red wine merchant operation in the Irancy appellation was a missing piece in the region’s landscape, especially since they launched with the splendid 2015 vintage. In 2016, they chose to blend everything into a single cuvée, but the 2017 vintage returns to the three cuvées that have now become the norm, including an absolutely splendid Beaux-Monts. You’ll need to reserve these cuvées well in advance at the estate!
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
A very young wine merchant founded in 2015 by Delphine and Grégory Viennois. Delphine comes from a family of winemakers and has worked for major Burgundy estates. The latter, also from Burgundy and a graduate in oenology, has an impressive resume: he learned the trade under Nadine Gublin (Dom. Jacques Prieur) and Jean-Pierre de Smet (Dom. de l'Arlot), made wine at Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte, served as technical director for Michel Chapoutier, and was general manager of Ferraton Père & Fils. Since 2011, he has been technical director at Dom. Laroche in Chablis and has served as a consultant for Quinta Do Monte d'Oiro in Portugal since 2006.
