Robert Parker
“Made from vines that produced tiny berries, the 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Cras opens in the glass with aromas of crisp yellow apple, citrus oil, hazelnuts, almonds, and mint. Medium-bodied to full-bodied, silky and enveloping, it is deep and concentrated, with lively acidity and a long, salty finish.” (Wine Advocate 2021)

Rated estate (2020 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
This large estate in Fuissé now spans 30 hectares, comprising a wide range of terroirs with great potential for future Premier Crus. Sandrine and her brother Christophe manage the property, and Christophe meticulously oversees the wines, constantly refining his approach. His commitment to releasing them with as much of a vintage gap as possible is commendable. Vineyard-specific winemaking is intelligently carried out in magnificent, modern facilities that are perfectly suited to the task. The short-term goal is to convert the entire estate to organic farming. This is undoubtedly a leading estate in the Mâconnais region, where you’ll find age-worthy wines that are always characterized by a very taut and straightforward style.

Rated estate (2022 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
Coming from a family of winemakers spanning eight generations, Andrée and René Thibert established their own estate in 1967 on 2.5 hectares. Today, their children, Sandrine and Christophe, co-manage a 20-hectare vineyard. A (very) reliable choice from the Mâconnais region.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
Harvested in Fuissé, Les Cras—with its dense texture and mineral-driven tension—offers finesse and precision; a wine built to age for five to ten years.
About the estate:
Founded in 1967, the estate spans nearly 30 hectares across the appellations of Pouilly, Mâcon-Fuissé, Mâcon-Prissé, Mâcon-Verzé, and Saint-Véran. It is family-run by Christophe Thibert and his sister Sandrine, in collaboration with the meticulous Fabien Duperray (see Domaine Jules Desjourneys, in Beaujolais). The estate is gaining momentum. The majority of the range reflects precise ripeness and masterful aging, as well as great aging potential, as evidenced by the latest vintages. We are close to a second star.
