Domaine Sébastien Giroux - Pouilly-Loché 2021
91/100
Robert Parker
"A fresh, mineral white wine with good length."
A charming Pouilly-Loché: a nose with notes of white flowers, citrus, and white fruits that offers—after 3 to 5 years of aging—more complex notes of pear, apricot, almonds, and toasted hazelnuts. Straightforward, silky, and elegant on the palate, it offers complex and precise notes of yellow fruit and toasted almonds, with subtle hints of exotic fruit (ginger, candied pineapple, mango).

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Sébastien Giroux settled in 2009 on the family estate known as Yves Giroux & fils, halfway between Loché and Fuissé, after several years in the world of motor racing. A member of the Artisans Vignerons association, he quickly earned the respectful attention of his colleagues. The seven hectares of the estate are farmed organically without certification, with perfectionism and modesty. The wines are developing greater personality and expression of their terroir.
Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
Wine rating (2022 guide) 91/100 (2020 vintage) (Outstanding wine)
Rated estate (2021 guide) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate)
About the estate:
Sébastien Giroux, brother of Olivier Giroux of Clos des Rocs, took over the management of this six-hectare estate in 2009 after an internship with the Bret brothers. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by gentle pressing and aging in barrels and vats, depending on the cuvée. The wines are consistently supple, pure, and charming.
