About the wine:
Half white, half red (with both Pinots), low in sugar, from a sunny year, a vintage that combines richness and crispness, with a flavor profile showing promising development (hazelnut and toasted bread alongside citrus notes).
About the estate:
Winegrowers since 1854, based in a small valley near the Marne Valley, the Payers are proud to be among the twenty-four founders of the Regional Champagne Wine Cooperative in 1962 (see Jacquart, de Castelnau), which still produces two of their cuvées, even though they have since become independent producers. In 2019, Ghislain Payer passed on the 4-hectare vineyard to his daughter Élise.
