"A vintage wine at an affordable price, with lovely suppleness and incredible purity!"

“Half white, half red (with both Pinots), low in sugar, born of a sunny year, a vintage that combines smoothness and crispness, with a flavor profile that reflects a successful maturation (hazelnut and toasted bread alongside citrus notes).” (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

Wine noted (guide 2025) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

Rated estate (2024 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines regularly receive awards from the guide)

About the wine:

Half white, half red (with both Pinots), low in sugar, born of a sunny year—a vintage that combines smoothness and crispness, with a flavor profile that reflects a successful maturation (hazelnut and toasted bread alongside citrus notes).

About the estate:

Winegrowers since 1854, based in a small valley near the Marne Valley, the Payers are proud to be among the twenty-four founders of the Coopérative régionale des vins de Champagne in 1962 (see Jacquart, de Castelnau), which still produces two of their cuvées, even though they have since become récoltants-manipulants. In 2019, Ghislain Payer passed on the 4-hectare vineyard to his daughter Élise.
