“Blended in equal parts—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier—this brut has a lively, refined nose with lovely complexity, ranging from brioche to fresh fruit. After a round, ripe-fruit-forward attack, the mineral-driven, crisp finish leaves an impression of elegant integrity.” (Le Guide Hachette 2023) A festive cuvée!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Tsarine is the brand developed by Chanoine Frères, a subsidiary of the BCC Group. It has grown alongside the world of cinema. The wines crafted by Isabelle Tellier, the cellar master, focus primarily on achieving a balance among the three Champagne grape varieties; they are characterized by a tender youthfulness as well as a refined, fruity, and floral profile. We note a certain progression in the cuvées we tasted this year.

About the wine:
Blended in equal parts—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier—this brut has a lively, refined nose with lovely complexity, ranging from brioche to fresh fruit. After a round attack full of ripe fruit, the mineral-driven, crisp finish leaves an impression of elegant integrity.
About the estate:
As early as 1730, the Chanoine brothers began digging their cellars in Épernay. Their house, the oldest after Ruinart, fell into obscurity after the war, before being revived through its integration into the group now known as Lanson-BCC (1991), which provided it with a vast, modern, above-ground cellar in Reims. The house created the Tsarine brand in honor of Catherine II, a great lover of champagne. Since 2001, Isabelle Tellier has been at the helm of the house.
