"A Chilean wine of incredible complexity with a finish that lingers on, according to James Suckling!"

“On the nose, aromas of warm bread, iodine, graphite, blackberries, blackcurrants, and a hint of dark chocolate. On the palate, it’s quite flavorful, with a medium- to full-bodied structure and an abundance of tight yet fine-grained tannins. A very long, taut finish, with notes of nuts and mussels lingering on the palate. A finish that seems to go on forever. [...] Excellent value for money from VIK. Drink now or cell it.” (James Suckling 2025)

Intense garnet red color. On the nose, complexity and balance are immediately apparent. Subtle notes of black fruit, tobacco, and fresh grass come together in perfect harmony. On the palate, the flavor lingers, enriched by silky tannins with great length.

About the wine:

A true showcase of the producer’s craft, the 2022 Milla Cala—a medium-bodied wine—is always made from a blend of four to five grape varieties. This particular vintage consists of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carménère, 7% Syrah, and 4% Merlot, all grown and harvested specifically for this wine, then fermented separately before blending. It was then aged for 18 months in “Barroir” French oak barrels—exclusive barrels made from oak sourced from the Vik estate. Pleasant to drink, elegant, and complex, it features supple, round tannins and an explosion of rich red fruit accented by baking spices. Magnificent. Enjoy now through 2033. 2026–2033
