Domaine Comte Abbatucci

Domaine Comte Abbatucci is run by Jean-Charles Abbatucci. Located in Southern Corsica, in the Taravo Valley (near the prehistoric site of Filitosa), Domaine Comte Abbatucci spans 18 hectares of granite-sand hillsides.

A passionate and inspiring winemaker, Jean-Charles Abbatucci practices biodynamic viticulture with unwavering dedication and is constantly refining his techniques to stay as close to nature as possible and learn to listen to it more closely, so he can capture the quintessence of each terroir and each grape variety—of which he possesses an incredible and rare collection. This method helps regenerate the soil and plants: work periods are chosen according to lunar cycles and the time of day. It uses preparations made from plants and minerals. On living soil and with respect for the environment, the Domaine Comte Abbatucci vineyard produces healthy, balanced grapes which, once vinified, capture all the aromas of the Corsican maquis.

Domaine Comte Abbatucci offers red, white, and rosé wines within the Ajaccio appellation, as well as Corsican table wines, whose quality and character pay tribute to the unique terroirs found in Corsica. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand, and during winemaking, only indigenous yeasts are used.
