Domaine Comte Abbatucci

The Domaine Comte Abbatucci is run by Jean-Charles Abbatucci. Located in southern Corsica, in the Taravo valley (near the prehistoric site of Filitosa), Domaine Comte Abbatucci extends over 18 hectares of granite arena slopes.

A passionate winegrower, Jean-Charles Abbatucci practices flawless biodynamic viticulture and is constantly developing his techniques to get as close as possible to nature and learn to listen to it better, so as to be able to restore the quintessence of each terroir and grape variety, of which he has an incredible and rare collection. This method helps the soil and plants to regenerate: work periods are chosen according to lunar cycles and the time of day. It uses plant- and mineral-based preparations. The Domaine Comte Abbatucci vineyards produce healthy, well-balanced grapes from living soil, which, once vinified, convey all the aromas of the Corsican maquis.

Domaine Comte Abbatucci offers three-color wines in the Ajaccio appellation and Vin de table de Corse, whose quality and character are a tribute to the special terroirs to be found in Corsica. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, and only indigenous yeasts are used in the vinification process.
